Learn about croquet, its strokes and its tactics.
Our members soon learned that hitting your opposition's balls away from their playable position for scoring a hoop can be almost as satisfying as hitting a ball through the hoop.
We welcome any members who are wanting to join in playing a game where both tactics and skill interplay with being social and competitive.

We warmly welcome you into our Social Cycling programme. A gentle pace and a flat, scenic terrain, with a stop for coffee, make a great day outdoors with friends. We plan rides in great detail so you have all the information you need to decide whether to come. A train trip or your car may be necessary to get you to the starting point.

We usually play 18 holes but some prefer to play only 9. We always have a great game and often share hospitality over a drink and light lunch at the 19th hole.

About 6 of us meet on Wednesday mornings throughout the year. Bowls can be borrowed at no charge and parking is easy. If you would like to try it out, you can be a guest for a $5 green fee per meeting.

The walks will start about 10.00am, for maybe 3-4km with mixed points of interest, and then lunch at a nearby hotel or cafe (your cost). The walks will cover many areas of Sydney from the Mosman, through North Sydney, the city, and the inner west. Each walk is tested a week or so before the advertised date and specific details of the walk are in the Newsletter and on the website.

Join us to see a selected film in the morning session. We meet afterwards at a nearby restaurant to discuss what we thought of it over a lunch. You are advised of the film by email on the prior Wednesday or Thursday. Times will vary depending on the chosen film, but we try to pick a film that starts before 12 noon

A new initiative, with players of all standards welcome. Never played ? Then now is your opportunity to participate in this fastest growing sport in Australia. We have an enthusiastic group of men and women numbering 12-16 who are enjoying the exercise and fellowship. Coffee is always an option after the game. Dress is as for tennis with paddles and balls provided. Cost $10 pp. with both members and friends welcome.

We are fortunate that Ross Bruwel welcomes a number of members and their partners for a sail on the harbour during the warmer months on his yacht "Renada". Be sure to contact Ross well before the day so he is aware of the numbers. Around noon a suitable anchoring spot is chosen. This can vary from spots like Manly, Quarantine, Clifton Gardens or Vaucluse Bay. Lunches are a memorable occasion, bring nibbles, your lunch and a choice of drinks. Tea and coffee are available on board. You should wear soft soled boat-type shoes, bring sunscreen and a broad rimmed hat and always bring a warm top and windcheater.

Inspired by the long tradition of tennis champions from the North Shore, we meet on the First Tuesday of each month from March through to October. We play social men's or mixed doubles from 10am to 12pm. Each player pays $10 for two hours. All standards are very welcom as are friends and visitors.
